Neighbors in the Tri-Village area (UA, Grandview and Marble Cliff) could submit items to print under the Village Gossip section, perhaps a pre-internet method of flaunting one’s social engagements?

Obviously an important man of the time, Howard Dwight Smith — architect of Ohio Stadium (which opened in 1922) and the new UA school building being constructed at the time — made front page news regarding his travels:
