Upper Arlington Moment in Time

In 2022 the Society contributed an interesting piece of information from our past to engage and educate the readers of This Week Tri-Village News. Unfortunately the publication ceased production in January 2023.

This sketch of the soon-to-be-constructed Ohio Stadium appeared in the November 1920 issue of the Norwester, a monthly publication about Upper Arlington in its early years. Howard Dwight Smith, a UA resident, was the creative force behind this iconic building during his tenure as Chief Designer of the Office of the Ohio State University Architect. Eighty-five years ago Wyandot Park was the site of a grand burial of the last-known full-blooded Wyandot Indian in this region.
