UA QUEST
A Scavenger Hunt for Information About Upper Arlington!
General Information.
The object of UA Quest is for teams to collect as many points as possible through solving the clues and finding the locations within the Quest window: Saturday, Feb 25 @ noon - Sunday, March 5 @ 7pm. For more information, see our FAQs.
Rules & Regulations.
Registration is required using this form. Teams who complete and return registration forms by noon on Friday, Feb 24 will get the clues and answer sheet sent directly to the designated email around noon on Saturday, February 25. Teams submitting completed forms after that time/date may wait up to 24 hours to receive their information.
UA Quest is geared toward UA families and anyone who likes a challenge. There are no age limits or age restrictions; all UA residents are encouraged to participate! Maximum of six members to any one team, however, and there must be at least one adult team member.
Each team will assign a team captain to document responses and send the one answer email to info@uahistory.org
UA Quest will consist of a total of 10 clues + bonus questions. Teams will send one email to info@uahistory.org by 7pm on Sunday, March 5 with all of their responses and photos. (* Exception: If your photos are too large, multiple emails sent at the same time will be accepted). Teams do not have to complete the entire Quest to participate.
The Upper Arlington Historical Society event team will evaluate all entries. Please read each clue/task carefully; failure to follow all directions may result in no points awarded.
Each team with valid responses will be entered into a raffle. Team raffle entries will be awarded based on the following:
1 entry for a team UA spirit wear photo
1 entry for each correct clue answer
1 entry for each correct bonus question answer
1 entry for a team photo at each correct location
Additionally, the first 5 teams to submit will receive additional entries: 5 for first place; 4 for second; 3 for third; 2 for fourth; and 1 additional entry for fifth.
It is acceptable to use the internet or other technology (Google, GPS, etc) to assist your team.
Please remember this is a community scavenger hunt; have fun and play fair. All teams must obey all motor vehicle laws and City of UA and State of Ohio laws while participating. No speeding, stealing, trespassing, defacing, etc. will be tolerated, and those found in violation will be disqualified immediately.
Participating teams qualify for potential prizes. Prizes will be raffled off to the eligible teams. Winners will be notified by the Upper Arlington Historical Society and will be posted on the UA Historical Society webpage and social media.
