Why do real estate ads today include the phrase “Royce-built home” to entice buyers? Many of these homes were built in the 1930s and 1940s, but their architect remains a selling point in the 21st century.
A Historical Society member will discuss the life and career of OSU 1926 grad and UA resident Robert R. Royce, leading participants past several homes he designed in our community. Learn about the families who initially purchased these homes within the context of that time period in UA’s history.
Tour length: approximately 45 minutes.
Cost: Free.
Registration: none required.
Appropriate for: ages 12+ or anyone interested in history and architecture.
