time for the fifth annual homes of history - august 2025
With over 440 century homes in UA, it’s definitely time to celebrate! Signs will start popping — both north and south of Lane Ave. — on lawns of participating homeowners. We estimate about 330 signs to appear in the community; if you think you are eligible and have not been contacted, please email us at info@uahistory.org.
talkin' trash: a history of garbage disposal in ua
History Speaks is back on September 18th at 7pm with an exciting look at all the ways UA residents have disposed of unwanted items over the years. From fires & wagons to buggies & stickers, you will appreciate the evolution to our current-day system. Special Guest: Katy Rees from the City of UA with the history of composting. Free to attend!
Welcome to a “Legacy Builder” Sponsor
You’ll be seeing lots of “Littleton’s” logos over the next months, as their corporate sponsorship helps our non-profit organization continue our work to discover, preserve, and celebrate UA’s history. We are grateful for their historic place in the community (and even have a video from 2023 with the history of their location). We always have room for more sponsors - won’t you join us?
THE UPPER ARLINGTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY EXTENDS A "THANK YOU" TO...
