King G. Thompson
Benjamin S. Thompson
Inducted: 1990
A partnership formed in 1908 by King and Ben Thompson was destined for greatness as the brothers were able to combine their gifts for vision and expert planning in the real estate development that eventually became the City of Upper Arlington.
The Thompson's plan for a garden community with curved landscaped streets and high quality homes is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
Their vision went far beyond design: to a personal involvement in the village government, schools and hosting community events. Their perseverance and sense for a community lifestyle has become a lasting benefit to the residents of the City of Upper Arlington.
Ben and Katherine Thompson had no children. King and Ethel Herrick Thompson had four children, Herrick, Irma, Frank, and Victor. Both Thompson homes overlooked Miller Park.
